Talis Chains designs are made using 18 carat gold plating on brass (2 micron with additional electroplating on top), freshwater pearls, acrylic and glass beads. To keep your Talis Chains jewellery in great condition, we suggest you follow these simple steps when caring for your jewels:

  • After showering, using lotion, or any other body product, wait until you are completely dry before adding your jewellery. Some products can have a negative reaction with plating and can cause a change in texture or colour.
  • Always apply perfume before putting on your jewellery. Perfume chemicals can react with metal, so you don’t want to spray it directly onto your pieces.
  • Do not sleep wearing the jewellery.
  • Do not wear the jewellery when exercising hard sport; sweat and heat can cause a change in texture and colour.
  • Chlorine, salt water and intense heat (from saunas or steam rooms) can react with the metals in our jewellery causing colour changes and even structural damage.
  • Always wipe down your jewellery with a soft, dry cloth when taking them off at the end of the day. This will ensure to remove any body oils and residue from lotions and smudges.
  • Store your jewellery in the pouches provided in a cool, dry room. Avoid excess condensation as this can cause precious metals to discolour, tarnish and erode. Each item should be stored separately to avoid scratching.
